Kathleen T. Brady

Kathleen T. Brady, M.D., Ph.D., is the Vice President for Research at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), overseeing all aspects of basic, translational, and clinical research. Her career spans 27 years at MUSC, where she has advanced scientific understanding of addiction psychiatry and gender-specific therapies.

Brady’s research focuses on biological and psycho-social gender differences in drug and alcohol dependence, informing medical and behavioral therapies tailored for women. Her work bridges clinical and academic research, emphasizing collaboration across disciplines.
