Kathleen Moss is an Adjunct Research Professor and Contract Instructor in the Department of Sociology and Anthropology at Carleton University. She holds a Ph.D., M.A., and B.A. in Sociology from Carleton University and King's College at Western University. Her research focuses on sociology of education, family studies, and violence against women, emphasizing experiential learning frameworks and interdisciplinary approaches.
Dr. Moss has held roles in the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, including Research Officer and contributor to the Innovation & Adolescent Learning Department. She has received multiple grants (e.g., CUELF, FUSION, eCampusOntario) to develop experiential learning initiatives and interdisciplinary courses. Notable projects include creating SOCI 3210 (Teaching Sociology to High School Students) and co-designing cross-institutional courses with the University of Ottawa.
