Kathleen M. Sakamoto is a Professor of Pediatrics in the Hematology & Oncology division at Stanford University School of Medicine, where she holds the Shelagh Galligan Endowed Professorship. She has held numerous leadership roles, including Division Chief at UCLA and Stanford, and currently serves on the NIDDK Council and Child Health Research Institute Executive Committee. Her research focuses on transcriptional regulation in leukemogenesis, particularly CREB signaling, and developing targeted therapies for pediatric cancers and bone marrow failure syndromes.
