Kathleen Fenn

Kathleen Fenn, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Medical Oncology) at Yale School of Medicine. She specializes in early-stage HR-positive/HER2-positive breast cancers and focuses on the interaction between the immune system and tumors. Dr. Fenn is affiliated with Yale Cancer Center, Yale Medicine, and Smilow Cancer Hospital, where she provides clinical care. She is a member of the T32 Cancer Biology Training Program, contributing to cancer research workforce development.

Dr. Fenn completed her MD at Yale School of Medicine (2014) and earned a BS in Molecular Biophysics & Biochemistry from Yale University. She pursued internship (2015), residency (2017), and fellowship (2020) in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Oncology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Her clinical expertise includes medical oncology and hematology, with presentations at national conferences like the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium.

Dr. Fenn leads a Phase III clinical trial (LoTam) as Principal Investigator and participates as Sub-Investigator in trials involving Pembrolizumab/Brentuximab Vedotin, Prostate Cancer genomic risk stratification, and Pancreatic Cancer treatment modalities. These trials reflect her commitment to advancing evidence-based therapies for solid tumors and hematologic malignancies.

She collaborates with interdisciplinary teams at Smilow Cancer Hospital locations in Trumbull, Fairfield, and Bridgeport, emphasizing patient-centered care and translational research.
