Kathleen-Anna Amella

Kathleen-Anna Amella is a Full-Time Lecturer at SUNY Stony Brook's Program in Writing & Rhetoric, located in Humanities 2113. She holds both a BA and MA in English from SUNY Stony Brook. Her professional interests span Composition studies, Creative writing, Technical communication, Shakespeare studies, Irish literature, Victorian literature, Nature writing and environmental literature, and Mystery/detective fiction.

Her academic work integrates literary analysis with pedagogical innovation, emphasizing interdisciplinary approaches to writing instruction. She actively contributes to curriculum development in rhetoric and composition, and maintains research interests in the intersections of environmental literature and creative nonfiction.
