Katherine Mahajan is an Associate Chair and Professor of Digital Communication at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Atlanta, GA (2023–present). Previously, she served as a Professor of Digital Communication at SCAD (2020–2023) and held roles at The New School Parsons, CUNY Hostos Community College, and others. Her expertise spans motion capture technology, VR/AR design, and interactive storytelling.

Research & Teaching: Mahajan specializes in integrating technology with creative disciplines. She led workshops on motion-capture systems, 3D animation, and A/V equipment at Parsons. Her work with the Verizon 5G Grant involved designing a multiuser VR learning experience for classroom use.
