Katherine Lineberger

Dr. Katherine Lineberger is Associate Teaching Professor and Online Program Coordinator in Global and Sociocultural Studies at FIU. With 25+ years in academia, she teaches medical sociology, gender studies, and inequality, winning FIU's Adjunct Faculty Teacher of the Year (2013). Her research involves program evaluation for HIV services, homelessness prevention, and social epidemiology.

She directs online programs in sociology/anthropology, develops curricula for digital learning, and served on FIU's United Faculty executive board. Publications address health systems, gender violence, and community needs assessments for agencies including NIH, HUD, and state health departments.
