Dr. Katherine Gregory is a Professor and Chair at the School of Professional Studies, Health Sciences Department, New York City College of Technology (CUNY). She is an interdisciplinary scholar–practitioner with over two decades of experience in research, teaching, and social marketing.
- Ph.D. in Sociology, with a Certificate in Women’s Studies, Syracuse University
- M.S. in Television-Radio-Film, Syracuse University
- M.A. and B.A. in Sociology, Boston College and Ithaca College respectively
Her research focuses on digital health technologies, health disparities, social marketing impacts, social genomics, preventative health, and critical research methodologies. She has authored a book on sex workers in the Netherlands and contributed to studies on media analysis, focus group practices, and biotechnology.
Recent publications highlight trends in digital health, ethical implications of biotechnology, and qualitative research challenges. She also explores DTC genetic testing, social media's role in health narratives, and media representations of cultural phenomena.
