Dr. Katherine Castiello Jones is an Associate Professor of Sociology at the University of Cincinnati and serves as the Undergraduate Program Director. Her research focuses on gender, sexuality, and culture, with current projects examining abstinence promotion in the U.S. and movements reclaiming sexuality after purity culture. She also explores game design, including sexuality representation, inclusive design, and feminist theories of play integration.
Dr. Jones has been designing table-top and live-action role-playing (LARP) games for over a decade. Her games have been showcased at prestigious festivals such as Indiecade and BlackBox Copenhagen, and she was an invited guest speaker at The Smoke Festival in London (2020).
Education: PhD in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst (2018).
