About
Katherine Barclay is a retired Full Teaching Professor in the Department of Biology at the University of New Brunswick. Her research investigated cardiovascular physiology, focusing on myocardial blood flow regulation and circulatory system responses to disease or pharmacological interventions.
She taught courses in Human Physiology (Systems and Metabolism) and Human Pathophysiology. Her research employed chaos analysis to characterize microcirculatory dynamics in canine models, examining how cardiovascular properties change under pathological conditions.
Though retired, her published work continues to inform understanding of coronary flow regulation mechanisms in health and disease states.
