Katherine B. Starzyk is a Professor in Psychology at the University of Manitoba and founding member of both the Centre for Human Rights Research and Centre for Social Science Research & Policy. Her research examines how attitudes toward historical and contemporary human rights issues affect intergroup relations, particularly between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.
Using diverse methodologies including surveys, experiments, and interviews, she explores pathways to reconciliation and solidarity. Her work has been funded by SSHRC, Canadian Heritage, and other organizations.
