About
Katherine Allen is an Associate Professor studying ocean-climate interactions through geological time. Her research reconstructs past marine conditions using geochemical signatures in microfossils.
Current projects focus on South Pacific deep-ocean temperature and carbonate chemistry changes since the last ice age. Laboratory experiments with live foraminifera develop new proxies for paleoenvironmental reconstruction.
