Katharine Sarikakis is a Professor of Communication Science specializing in Media Industries, Media Organisation, and Media Governance at the University of Vienna, Austria. She also serves as Director of the Media Governance and Industries Research Lab at the same institution. Previously, she held academic positions at the University of Leeds (2004-2011) where she was Senior Lecturer and Founding Director of the Centre for International Communications Research, Coventry University (1999-2004), and Glasgow Caledonian University (1997-1999).
