Katelyn R. Holmes serves as an Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. A certified nurse midwife, she specializes in trauma-informed and evidence-based reproductive healthcare across the lifespan—from adolescence through pregnancy to menopause—with a focus on empowering patient autonomy in medical decision-making.

Her clinical expertise centers on reproductive mood disorders at the intersection of mental and physical health, including premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD), mood disorders during pregnancy, postpartum depression/anxiety, and menopausal mental health support. She integrates trauma-informed frameworks and holistic approaches to address complex psychosomatic interactions in women's health, emphasizing preconception planning and integrative care models.

Outside clinical practice, she engages in outdoor recreation including hiking and picnicking, and resides in Baltimore with her dog and cat.
