Katelyn Allison is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sports Medicine and Nutrition at the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from the same institution, following BS and MS degrees in Exercise Science and Exercise Physiology. Her research focuses on neuromuscular control during fatigue, injury prevention strategies, and performance optimization in military and athletic populations. Dr. Allison has served as principal investigator for Department of Defense-funded studies with the U.S. Marine Corps, examining combat fitness and injury patterns in sex-integrated units.
Her work bridges exercise physiology, nutrition, and biomechanics to address real-world challenges in military training and female athlete health. Professional affiliations include the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM-EP certified) and National Strength and Conditioning Association.
