Dr. Kate Ruskin is Senior Lecturer and Undergraduate Coordinator in Ecology and Environmental Sciences at the University of Maine's School of Biology and Ecology. She serves as Science Coordinator for the Saltmarsh Habitat and Avian Research Program (SHARP).
Research focuses on tidal marsh bird conservation, particularly demographic responses to sea-level rise and habitat loss. Integrates field ecology, population modeling, and educational outreach to address conservation challenges.
