Dr. Kate Myrna is an Associate Professor in the Department of Small Animal Medicine & Surgery at the University of Georgia’s College of Veterinary Medicine, specializing in Ophthalmology. She holds a DVM from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (2004) and an MS in Comparative Biomedical Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her career includes advanced training in Small Animal Ophthalmology through internships and residency programs.
Her research focuses on corneal wound healing mechanisms, ocular pain management, and myofibroblast transformation in corneal pathology.
