Kate McCredie is a Faculty Research Assistant in the Department of Forest Ecosystems & Society at Oregon State University's College of Forestry. Her research focuses on ecohydrology, fire ecology, forest management, hydrology, soil science, and environmental communication. She leads the FEWS lab and is currently engaged in post-wildfire monitoring of the Hinkle Creek watershed in southwest Oregon.
Research interests include watershed management practices, forest sustainability, and the intersection of ecological processes with environmental communication strategies. Her work integrates field-based studies to understand post-fire hydrological responses and ecosystem recovery.
