Kate Klein, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair in the Mechanical Engineering department at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University of the District of Columbia, with expertise in nanomaterials, electron/ion beam applications, and additive manufacturing.

- Doctor of Philosophy in Materials Science and Engineering (Nanomaterials Concentration), University of Tennessee, Knoxville
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical Concentration, ABET-accredited), Trinity College, Hartford
Research Focus spans nanomaterials synthesis and characterization, advanced microscopy techniques, mechanical properties of materials, and project-based learning pedagogies.
