Dr. Kate Holdener is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Saint Louis University (SLU), part of the School of Science and Engineering. She earned her Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Missouri University of Science and Technology (2008), an M.S. from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and dual B.S. in Computer Science and B.A. in Mathematics from Truman State University.
Her research focuses on automation of software engineering processes, software development methodologies, and applications of evolutionary algorithms. Prior to academia, she spent 10 years in industry roles at Exegy, Inc., including software engineer, senior API engineering, and product manager. She teaches courses such as Object-Oriented Software Design, Software Engineering, and DevOps/Continuous Integration.
