Kate Harriden is a Visiting Indigenous Fellow at the Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research and a Researcher in the Adaptation, livelihoods and development in Asia and the Pacific group at the Institute for Climate, Energy & Disaster Solutions (ICEDS) of the Australian National University.
Her research focuses on:
- Integrating traditional ecological knowledge into urban water management
- Transdisciplinary approaches to environmental systems
- Intra-household water use dynamics
- Slums as environmental actors
Harriden advocates for multidisciplinary research methods, combining water science with social science as demonstrated in her PhD work.
