Kate Fisher is Professor of Social and Cultural History at the University of Exeter. She co-founded the Sexual Knowledge Unit at Exeter and directs the Wellcome Trust-funded project 'Rethinking Sexology'. Her scholarly work focuses on historical perspectives of sexuality, birth control, and marriage, with notable publications including Birth Control, Sex and Marriage in Britain, c1918-1960 and collaborative volumes like Sex before the Sexual Revolution and Sex, Knowledge and Receptions of the Past.
