Kate Devis

Kate Devis is a Senior Lecturer in Adult Nursing at Canterbury Christ Church University, serving as Course Director for the Return to Practice course since 2020. She is based in the School of Nursing, Midwifery, Allied and Public Health and acts as a personal tutor on the pre-registration BSc Adult Nursing course.

Her educational background includes:

• Pre-registration Nursing Degree from Bristol
• PGCE in Health and Social Care Education
• Two Master's degrees, including an MA in Anthropology

Her research focuses on Adult Nursing specialties including neurosurgery and ENT, nurse reintegration programs, and anthropological perspectives in healthcare education. She integrates clinical expertise with educational theory to develop return-to-practice curricula.

As Course Director, she oversees the professional reintegration of nurses through CCCU's Return to Practice program while contributing to multiple healthcare courses including Healthcare Practice MSc and BSc Nursing (Adult).
