Kate Clouse

Kate Clouse is an Associate Professor at the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing, where she conducts research on HIV/AIDS, with a focus on patient engagement in care, particularly among postpartum women in South Africa. Her work spans epidemiology, public health, and global health, integrating mixed-methods approaches and mobile health (mHealth) technologies.

Her recent publications highlight trends in HIV care among pregnant and postpartum women, interventions using mobile technology and financial incentives, and systemic challenges in retention across low- and middle-income countries. The research spans disciplines including epidemiology, public health, behavioral science, and digital health, with a strong emphasis on implementation science in global settings.
