Kate Budd is a Professor and Sculpture Area Coordinator at the University of Akron's Mary Schiller Myers School of Art, teaching since 1998. She holds an MFA from Southern Illinois University and BA from Gray's School of Art.
Her research investigates hybrid abstract forms inspired by ancient artifacts, creating small-scale bronze sculptures that evoke organic shapes and ritual objects. Her work has been exhibited at Crystal Bridges Museum and Akron Art Museum.
