Katarzyna Andrejuk

Katarzyna Andrejuk is a Professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology, Polish Academy of Sciences (IFiS PAN), where she heads the Migration Sociology Team. Her academic background includes a double doctorate in sociology (University of Warsaw, 2012) and law (Institute of Legal Sciences PAN, 2019), an LLM in European Law from Queen Mary University of London (2010), and master's degrees in sociology and law from the University of Warsaw.

Research Focus: Andrejuk specializes in migration dynamics, including intra-European mobility, immigrant entrepreneurship, and diaspora responses to crises. Her work examines how ethnicity influences business strategies, the impact of digitalization on migrant economies, and policy evolution during humanitarian emergencies like the Ukraine conflict. Key themes include superdiversity, labor market integration, and transnational identity formation.
