Kasee Laster, Ph.D., is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at the University of North Georgia (UNG), part of the College of Arts & Letters. She holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Georgia (1999) and a B.S. in Accounting and English from the University of the Cumberlands (1990). Her professional roles include former Chair of Humanities at Shorter College and Director of Education Abroad at UGA.
Dr. Laster specializes in British literature spanning the Renaissance to the Edwardian era, composition, world literature, and business writing. Her research focuses on 18th-century novelist Clara Reeve, examining how Reeve used Arthurian legends and insular romances to construct British national identity during the Gothic novel movement.
