Karoline Truchon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Quebec in Outaouais (UQO), where she serves as a regular research member focused on societal impacts of AI and digital technology.
Her research centers on:
- Ethical frameworks for artificial intelligence
- Solutions journalism applications in tech education
- Cultural diversity in digital media ecosystems
- Empowerment through media literacy
She leads the research project "How to teach, popularize, and disseminate the ethical issues of artificial intelligence? The contribution of solutions journalism," engaging Digital Media students (2022-2024 cohorts) in creating multimedia content. This initiative produced the "numérIA en mode solutions" newsletter featuring student-generated articles, TikToks, and podcasts analyzing AI ethics through solutions-oriented journalism.
