Karma R. Chávez is the Bobby and Sherri Patton Associate Professor and Chair of Mexican American and Latina/o Studies at the University of Texas at Austin's College of Liberal Arts. She holds cross-affiliations with the Department of Communication Studies, Department of Rhetoric and Writing, Center for Women's and Gender Studies, Center for Mexican American Studies, and the LGBTQ Studies Program.
