Professor Karine Chemla is a Senior Researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS), affiliated with the laboratory SPHERE (CNRS & University de Paris). Her research focuses on the history of mathematics in ancient/medieval China and 18th-19th century Europe, examining relationships between mathematics and scholarly cultures through a historical anthropology lens.
