Karin Wulf

Karin Wulf is a Professor of History and the Beatrice and Julio Mario Santo Domingo Director and Librarian of the John Carter Brown Library at Brown University. She holds a PhD from Johns Hopkins University (1993). Her research focuses on gender, family, and politics in eighteenth-century British America, with recent emphasis on genealogy and the impact of nineteenth-century historical practices on modern interpretations of early America.

Wulf’s work includes award-winning publications such as *Not All Wives* (1999) and *Lineage* (forthcoming), as well as co-edited volumes like *The Diary of Hannah Callender Samson* (2010). She is an elected fellow of the Massachusetts Historical Society and the Royal Historical Society. Her service roles include leadership in the Omohundro Institute of Early American History (2013–2021) and the Neurodiversity Initiative at William & Mary.
