Kari Stadius

Kari Stadius is a Senior Scientist at the Department of Electronics and Nanoengineering at Aalto University, and a member of the Jussi Ryynänen Group. He specializes in RF Engineering and Microwave Technology, with a focus on CMOS Circuits for mmWave Systems and 5G Communication.

His research includes designing passive CMOS circulators, high-frequency mixers, and wideband down-converters, addressing challenges in impedance matching, noise reduction, and power handling. Recent work explores applications in 5G technology and microwave frequency optimization.

Stadius leads the Extended Frequency Range Multi-Carrier Receiver project (2016–2020), funded by the Academy of Finland, contributing to advancements in beamforming and interference cancellation.

He holds a Doctoral degree (2015), Licentiate degree (1997), and Master's degree (1994) in Engineering and Technology from Helsinki University of Technology (now part of Aalto University). His expertise spans RF circuit design, microwave components, and wireless communication systems.
