Karen Rice

Dr. Karen Rice, SLPD, CCC-SLP, serves as a Program Director and Assistant Professor in the Department of Speech-Language Pathology at Delaware Valley University. With over 27 years of experience as a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP), she has worked in diverse settings including schools, pediatric acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and early intervention programs, supporting clients from infancy to geriatrics.

Dr. Rice specializes in child language disorders and is actively involved in clinical supervision and mentorship. She participates in the ASHA Student Empowered Professional Mentoring Program (S.T.E.P.), focusing on underrepresented populations in communication sciences and disorders, and contributes to policy development through her role on the PSHA Higher Education Committee.
