Karen Rambo-Hernandez

Dr. Karen Rambo-Hernandez is an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University's Department of Educational Statistics. She graduated from East Texas Baptist University (ETBU) in 1997 with a Bachelor’s in Education (Mathematics emphasis). After a decade as a math teacher, she earned her PhD at the University of Connecticut. Her research focuses on equitable access to high-quality education and STEM intervention assessments, particularly for underrepresented and high-achieving students.

ETBU shaped her leadership and intellectual growth through roles like serving on the Baptist Student Ministry Executive Council and participating in the Honors Program. She credits her theater involvement at ETBU with enhancing her teaching skills. Her career reflects a commitment to bridging educational equity gaps through statistical analysis and policy-driven research.
