Research Interests
Dr. Lipkow’s research focuses on the three-dimensional organisation of eukaryotic genomes, combining computational modeling, quantitative live-cell microscopy, and techniques like chromatin conformation capture (3C, Hi-C) with functional genomics and proteomics. Her lab investigates:
- Temporal and condition-dependent changes in genome structure
- Molecular and biophysical mechanisms driving structural dynamics
- Biological consequences of altered genome organisation
- Spatial aspects of signaling in bacterial chemotaxis systems
She aims to uncover universal principles linking genome architecture to gene expression regulation.
