Karen Henny

Karen Henny is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Kinesiology at the University of New Hampshire (UNH), where she has served since 1996. She holds an AS in Emergency Medical Paramedic from New Hampshire Technical Institute and a BS from UNH. Her professional roles include being a Nationally Registered Paramedic (NRP), an EMS provider with McGregor Memorial EMS since 1990, and an EMS Instructor/Coordinator licensed in NH since 1993. She actively collaborates with students during clinical ambulance rotations, bridging academic training with real-world EMS practice.

Her teaching focuses on emergency medical care, including courses like First Aid-Response to Emergencies and Emergency Medical Responder. She emphasizes hands-on learning through lab-based and field experiences, ensuring students gain practical skills aligned with current EMS best practices.
