Karen Geiger

Karen Geiger is a Teaching Professor in the School of Accountancy at Arizona State University's W. P. Carey School of Business. She joined ASU in 1997 and holds an M.S. from Arizona State University (1994) and a B.S. from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (1983). Her teaching focuses on accounting information systems, managerial accounting, and financial accounting principles.

Before academia, Geiger worked as a forensic accountant at Shore & Azimov (1992-1997) and held senior financial roles including Director of Investor Relations at MicroAge, Inc. (1989-1992). She has also taught at Scottsdale Community College and DeVry Institute of Technology.

Her expertise spans accounting education methodologies, forensic accounting practices, and the application of information systems in accounting. She consistently teaches courses like 'Uses of Accounting Information' and 'Honors Fundamentals of Managerial Accounting' across ASU's fall, spring, and summer semesters since 2020.
