Kara L. Bopp

Kara L. Bopp is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Wofford College. She teaches courses including Cognitive Science, Adult Development and Aging, Introduction to Psychological Science, and Research Methods. Her research examines age-related differences in working memory and the effectiveness of intergenerational programs.

Research interests include:

• Age-related cognitive changes
• Working memory dynamics
• Intergenerational program design
• Successful aging models

She directs the 'Living Words' program and 'Intergenerational Connections' initiative, creating collaborative spaces between students and older adults. Her publications appear in journals including Journals of Gerontology and Psychology and Aging.

She holds a BA from Hamilton College, MA from New York University, and PhD in Experimental Psychology from Syracuse University.
