Kamini Atindrakumar Mishra

Kamini Atindrakumar Mishra is a Research Fellow at the Department of Chemistry and Biotechnology, School of Science, Tallinn University of Technology. She holds a Doctor's Degree (2022) in Chemistry with a focus on chiral urea-based macrocycles as molecular containers under supervision of Prof. Riina Aav. Her research spans organic chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, mechanochemistry, and material science. She has been affiliated with TUT since 2016, serving as a doctoral student-junior researcher and junior research fellow.

Education: PhD (2016–2022) from Tallinn University of Technology; MSc (2014–2016) and BSc (2011–2014) in Chemistry from University of Mumbai, India.

Research Interests: Supramolecular chemistry focusing on macrocyclic hosts for molecular recognition, mechanochemical synthesis for sustainable chemistry, and development of chiral sensors. Her work emphasizes self-assembly processes, dynamic materials, and applications in environmental remediation.

Awards include Dora Pluss grants (2017, 2019) and ASTRA support for international conference participation. She contributed to the PRG399 project (2019–2023) on adaptable supramolecular chirality sensors, funded by the Estonian Research Council (€1,241,375).

Labs/Teams: Active within the Functional Materials and Technologies graduate school (GSFMT), collaborating on projects involving mechanochemical synthesis and supramolecular architectures.
