Kamil Łapiński

Kamil Łapiński serves as an Assistant lecturer at the Department of Geodesy within the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Gdańsk University of Technology, working from room 114a of the HYDRO building.

His educational background includes a Master's degree in Geodesy and Estate Appraisal from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn. He is a certified Surveyor with extensive practical experience in civil engineering projects, including major infrastructure developments both domestically and internationally.

Łapiński's research focuses on geodesy, engineering applications, and geodetic monitoring, with particular emphasis on marine geodesy and navigation systems. His work contributes to improving maritime operational safety through precise geodetic measurements and gravimetric analysis.

His 2024 publication analyzes how land reference point coordinates affect marine gravimetric measurements, which serves as the foundation for 3D maritime inertial navigation systems. This research demonstrates his expertise in connecting theoretical geodesy with practical navigation applications.

He is actively involved in two significant research projects: BalMarGrav, which develops homogenized marine gravity maps of the Baltic Sea for geodetic and navigation applications, and InfraNoise, which monitors railway traffic's environmental impact.

Łapiński teaches multiple courses including Marine Geodesy with Navigation, Geodetic Measurements, Geomatics, and Engineering Drawing and CAD Systems across various academic years from 2022-2025, demonstrating his commitment to both theoretical and practical geodetic education.
