Kali Bechtold serves as a Lecturer in Health Policy and Management at the Yale School of Public Health and Director of Strategy and Experience Design at UCHealth, an academic medical center in Colorado. She specializes in Design Thinking and has over 15 years of experience in project management and global health delivery. Her work focuses on addressing public health challenges through strategic implementation, including vaccine financing in Tanzania and Myanmar, autism care networks in Ghana and Japan, and wellness programs for pediatricians.
Ms. Bechtold’s expertise spans diverse global health initiatives, such as strengthening human resources for health in Bangladesh, Myanmar, and India; preventing mother-to-child HIV transmission in South Africa; tuberculosis care in South Africa; and HIV prevention for key populations in Cameroon, Senegal, Lesotho, and South Africa. She holds an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and an MBA from Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business, complemented by Design Thinking certification from MIT’s Sloan School of Management.
Her affiliations include the Global Health Leadership Initiative and the Yale School of Public Health’s Health Policy & Management department. She contributes to leadership training programs, such as the Virtual Strategic Training Executive Programme and management training for immunization leaders in Rwanda.
