Kaixiong Ye

Kaixiong (Calvin) Ye is an Associate Professor in the Department of Genetics at the University of Georgia's Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. His research focuses on Nutritional Genomics, exploring how genetic variants influence dietary adaptations and metabolic disease risks. He leads the YE Lab, investigating topics such as gene-diet interactions, metabolic trait evolution, and bioinformatic analysis of omics data.

Dr. Ye advises numerous graduate students in Genetics and Bioinformatics, including current advisees Ke Yi, Elijah Sterling, and others. He holds affiliations with the Institute of Bioinformatics and has received a NIH Maximizing Investigators Research Award (2021) to advance precision medicine research. His work bridges nutritional sciences and genetics, with notable contributions to understanding omega-3/omega-6 fatty acid impacts on health and disease.
