Dr. Kaitlin Mondello is a Visiting Assistant Professor of English at the University of Saint Joseph (USJ), where she joined in 2024. She holds a Ph.D. from The Graduate Center, CUNY, and master's and bachelor's degrees from Stetson University. Previously, she taught at Millersville University of Pennsylvania and Hunter College, CUNY, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at The Teaching and Learning Center at The Graduate Center, CUNY.
Her research and teaching focus on intersections of literature, nature, and the environment, with particular emphasis on gender, race, climate change, science, and animals. She has published widely on Romanticism, ecofeminism, and ecocriticism, with recent works analyzing connections between literary figures like Emily Dickinson and scientific thinkers like Charles Darwin.
