Kaillee Philleo

Kaillee Philleo is an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at John Jay College of Criminal Justice (CUNY). She earned an MA in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College (2023) and a BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Roanoke College (2021).

• Expertise: Mental health counseling, victimology, developmental psychology, forensic psychology, juvenile justice, trauma & abuse.

Her research examines psychological factors in juvenile justice contexts, including trauma-informed practices. Her 2024 peer-reviewed publication in Psychology, Public Policy, and Law investigates parental advice during child interrogations, focusing on crime severity and legal consequence perceptions.

She teaches PSY 231: Developmental Psychology, integrating forensic and trauma perspectives into coursework.
