Kailey Potter

Kailey Potter (she/her) is a Lecturer in the Department of Performing Arts at Clemson University's College of Arts and Humanities. She holds an MFA/MLitt in Shakespeare and Performance from Mary Baldwin University and a BA in Performing Arts from Clemson University. Her work emphasizes ensemble-based theatre, classical text analysis, and gender equity in performance.

Her research interests focus on revitalizing classical works through inclusive casting, physical storytelling, and accessible education. She specializes in stage combat choreography, early modern cue scripts, and pedagogical approaches to Shakespearean language.

Recent professional engagements include roles in The Taming of the Shrew with Mortal Fools Collective and collaborations with Vagabond Shakespeare and South Carolina Children's Theatre. She currently teaches with the Warehouse Theatre’s 'This Wooden O' program, emphasizing kinesthetic learning.

Additional roles include fight choreographer for productions like Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet, and workshops with the South Carolina Theatre Association. Her work bridges academic research and community engagement through theatre education.
