KRASIMIRA MARKOVA

Prof. Krasimira Markova serves as Assistant Rector of Medical University Sofia (MU-Sofia), holding dual roles as Professor in the Department of Health Economics at the Faculty of Public Health and Economist in the Rectorate's Finance department. Her career spans over three decades, including leadership roles such as Head of FHR and Chief Accountant at MU-Sofia until 2018. She specializes in healthcare economics and management, with a doctoral degree (2011) in Social Medicine and Organization of Health Care and Pharmacy, complemented by a second master’s in Health Sciences (2008). She has authored 65+ scientific works, including peer-reviewed publications and monographs. Her contributions have been recognized with prestigious awards like the 2023 SIGNUM LAUDIS honor badge and the 2020 Rector’s Honorary badge.
