Professor Jürgen Popp is the Director of the Institute of Physical Chemistry at Friedrich Schiller University Jena and Scientific Director of the Leibniz Institute of Photonic Technology (IPHT). His work focuses on advancing Raman spectroscopy for clinical applications in infection diagnostics. He has authored over 540 publications and holds 12 patents in spectroscopic instrumentation.
