Jørn Braa

Jørn Braa is Emeritus Professor at the University of Oslo's Department of Informatics, where he founded the HISP (Health Information Systems Programme) initiative. His pioneering work focuses on developing scalable digital health infrastructures in low-resource settings through open-source solutions like DHIS2.

Research spans health information system resilience, standardization, and pandemic response frameworks. His work has transformed health data management in over 60 countries through participatory design and South-South collaboration models.
