Jutta Mata is a Professor (W3) of Health Psychology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Mannheim since 2015. She is also a co-opted member of the Mannheim Centre for European Social Research (MZES) and an associate researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and the Interdisciplinary Center for Human Performance, University of Lisbon.

Affiliations and leadership roles include collaborations with the Adaptive Rationality Research Area at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and contributions to interdisciplinary health research in Germany, Portugal, and Switzerland.
