Justus Enninga is a PhD candidate in Political Economy at King’s College London and holds a position as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Economics Department of New York University. His research focuses on green political economy, particularly how institutional arrangements facilitate adaptation to environmental challenges, with an emphasis on bottom-up civil society institutions.
Enninga holds a double degree BA in Economics and Political Science from the University of Erfurt and an MA in Political Economy from King’s College London. His doctoral research, supervised by Mark Pennington and John Meadowcroft, explores 'Moving from Deliberative Talk to Polycentric Action in Green Political Economy – A Robust Approach to Adaptation to Climate Change.'
His research interests span environmental economics, public choice theory, and collective action mechanisms in civil society. He has been recognized with a prestigious prize for his master’s thesis examining the emergence of Jewish community institutions in London.
